Top Load Washer with the PowerWash(R) System - 6.2 cu. ft.

Had the washer for a year. It cleans and performs well and you can tell is well made/put together. My only issue is that it drips a small amount of water from the front left corner. A very small bit of water forms on the floor during use randomly. Not every time but sometimes. It’s bothersome being essentially brand new and quite expensive. I actually had a repair guy here yesterday (Nov 2019) and he said what I suspected. Essentially it’s a design flaw, when water sprays into the top edge of the drum where the detergent or softener goes, it can splash over the edges causing it to run down just inside the washer wall. I wish there was some sort of gasket kit or something. I’m on a well and I don’t think pressure is an issue. And the washer is as level as it can get. So $150 for the service because it’s past the year warranty yet nothing can be done. It really is a minute amount of water but I don’t think it should happen at all.

After one year, the machine did not respond to any command pressed. Unplugged it for two days and it started working. In the six months after that incident, we've had to unplug the machine a handful of times for it to work. At the six month mark, we're back to the completely unresponsive issue. They really chose appearance over substance with this machine.

I actually bought this a while ago, the only thing was I shopped ONLY MAYTAG! Always had great service and products. I love this machine for several reasons, Top load I wanted, the deep fill basin option and the steam option are my favorite things.OH plus it handles so much more than my last washer, which I sold in perfect working order. it's 4 star rating is only because I am too short to reach the bottom when removing cloths, I need a step lol

Have been using my washer since May. Have 5- and 2-year-old granddaughters over every day swimming in the pool and changing clothes. I do laundry often. Also like to go camping and have lots of laundry after trips. Love the different settings and large capacity for bedding, blankets, etc. Also love the look. Everything I wanted in a washer!
