Benchmark® Dishwasher 24'' Stainless steel SHP88PZ55N

I purchased this dishwasher in Dec 2020, waited 3 months for it to come in during the middle of the pandemic. The techs from where I purchased it had problems during the installation on March 5 2021, but it worked once I started using it, that is up until Sept 9 2022. It completely stopped workinhg with an error code that signified a bad drain. SInce that day I have had 2 tech visits and still no operating machine. Now I am being told that the 3rd part required is on back order with no anticipated date of delivery. $1600 for what is supposed to be the top of the line. Nonsense. I have never been more dissapointed in an appliance as I am with my Bosch Benchmark. I will never recommend this product to anyone. If I could give it a 0 I would.

This 40 db dishwasher is great! Barely a whisper when it's running.

Still new so I can't comment on longevity but so far it is wonderful. Well styled. Lots of freezer capacity. Consistent temperatures. Vegetable bin keeps food fresh longer than I would have thought.

All great so far. Hopefully will last longer than our 2 yr old Samsung did!

At first, we loved it. After 6 mos, it clogged, but it was covered and tech unclogged it. Then it clogged again. And again. And again. Then the warranty ran out. This time we paid to unclog it, and it clogged again 3 days later. (Note- all techs were Bosch certified). The 3 day old "repair" was suddenly unanswered by the tech who disappeared into the night. Found a new tech. He unclogged it again (6th time? Maybe 7th?). A day later we got an error code that it was leaking from underneath and wouldn't run. Tech again- this time he pulled a plastic ring nut out of the corner drying unit and showed us that it was broken through. Ok, $10 part. Well- that was over 2 months ago. This part is unavailable nation wide. Maybe world wide. We've called Bosch directly to find out information. They cannot tell us anything including when or if this part will ever be available again. So- for lack of a $10 plastic part, my almost $2k dishwasher is a pile of metal that will not run and cannot be repaired. No help or compassion from Bosch- last person we tried to speak to at customer "service" about this part order said it was unavailable and then hung up on us. Worst.Customer.Service.Ever!!! After more than 2 mos of hand washing everything for my family of 6- I'm purchasing a different dishwasher by a different maker. If this part EVER becomes available again we might go back to using this unit. Not really sure.
