The display panel broke!

i will never buy another samsung product. after 2 years the display panel which controls the oven, etc has flickering lights in the background. from reviews on home depot, and lowes it seems to be a common problem which should have a "recall" with free repair. unfortunately, the fix is to buy a new part for a bit over $100 plus service call if you don't trust yourself with electronic repair:-( wondering if i should just buy a new stove... the stovetop, like others of this type, is a glass product which scratches easily and needs to be specially cleaned each time food (or even water) drip on it.

Flickering display- same issue as everyone else;(

i’ve seen an overwhelming amount of people post the same issue on several sites. the display board is flickering and it happened just after my warranty expired. debating fixing the issue ourselves or calling a tech or nothing at all and getting a new stove- i understand a tech and parts are very expensive for the fix and why dump that much into fixing it? agree with another post here- if its such a widespread issue and known you should fix it for free like a recall. sounds like the fix for this is expensive and seems like a faulty part your company is well aware of. not sure i’d buy another samsung product - my sisters fridge icemaker broke early on too so ive heard many reliability issues;(

Great!

We have been using our range for about 2 months now and we absolutely love it! The convection feature is perfect for getting perfectly cooked meals done quickly. And our utility bill has gone up maybe $20/month after install with regular use. Top is easy to clean with cooktop cleaner. Grease and finger prints (if visible) wipe away easily.

The range has been reliable and heats very well. We always use the convection feature on the oven. Now we wouldn't think of using the direct heating method. However, about two months of owning the range, the Samsung logo had fallen off and the oven vent has discolored the finish in one spot of the control panel. Now the oven light flickers while the door is open. Other than those things, it has been a good range.

Would not buy again

we purchased all new samsung appliances a little more than a year ago. the icemaker on the expensive family hub fridge was defective. we've settled that with samsung. now, my stove has a defective display - it flickers randomly just like this video someone else posted on youtube. the pic is my actual picture. in addition to the defect, the black top of this stove shows every single piece of dust. i have use a car polishing cloth constantly. i hate to cook now because the top gets messed up even by just boiling eggs. dont buy this stove.
