Just as many, many others have reported, the microwave stops working requesting one to open/close the door. Opening and closing the door dozens of times may eventually get the microwave to work but It is getting worse and I suspect permanent failure to occur soon. The hood light burns out frequently as well. I don't know how Whirlpool stays in business. I certainly will never purchase anything whirlpool again and recommend to anyone to do the same. This microwave is pure garbage.

I bought this microwave less tan two years ago. I'm happy with both microwaving and especially convection oven cooking, which I use a lot. However, the white plastic cover started cracking very soon after installation, and now has cracks all over and looks pretty bad. I think it's possible to buy a replacement cover for about $100 but I'm hesitant to do if it has the same problem, so we'll just have to live with this until pieces start to fall off. I'm very disappointed that Whirlpool would use low quality plastic for a microwave which is designed to be placed over the range. Also the fan is very loud and the manual is not too helpful. Still 3 stars for the quality and ease of cooking.

Haven’t had this microwave even a year. Called whirlpool about and said it is warranted only 60 or 90 days which is radiculus if your a new homeowner who is having a home being built. This product came to the store to me and only wrapped in plastic wrap. This crack started out little and has gotten bigger. Feel whirlpool should back there product. This is a waste of money for someone I spent about 700.00 and wasn’t even offered extended warranty that is if it would cover something like this.

Redoing our kitchen and put in the new microwave/convection oven. Cooks food better and more uniform than any other microwave we've had. We also bought a new "white ice" range, but it's too new to register. The model number comes up unavailable. We love it anyway.
