30" Smart Gas Cooktop with Illuminated Knobs in Black Stainless Steel

Great styling and perfect fit. Burners are very even and powerful. Lighted dials are a nice touch in the evenings.

i bought my 30" cooktop 9 months ago. i really enjoyed the details like the griddle and the lighted knobs. the cast iron grates i feel are the problem. they stay hot a really long time when the stove is off, which is not the problem. moving the grate to clean the stove before it is completely cool in addition to the poor design of the grate caused the grate to crack and eventually break. and trying to find a replacement part has been super frustrating. customer support sent me some links to parts that did not have the part listed and told me to call parts on m-f. 2 months, no resolution.

we had a kitchen remodel in march and decided to go with this stovetop due to a lot of the positive reviews online. the fact that it was on back-ordered was a disappointment but we felt worth the wait. we received the stove the second week in may. two weeks later we noticed this discoloration on the front of the stove we called samsung and they said discoloration was not covered under the warrany and that they were so sorry but there was nothing they could do. we actually had a technician come out and the response was the same. i will never purchase a samsung product again

After moving into a new house that was full of old appliances, I knew that I would need to slowly update my appliances as they went out on me. I had the opportunity to replace my old cook top with a new Samsung cook top & overall I am extremely pleased with this appliance! The cook top is black stainless steel. It is a darker black color, unlike other black stainless steel products that look more brown/black in color. With the grates, the cook top sits higher than the counter top does (about 4 inches higher than your counter top). The cook top comes with 3 grates and 5 burners, as well as a griddle. Cons first: Because of the fact that there are only 3 grates for the whole cook top and they are cast iron, they are a bit heavy. The paint has already chipped on both sides of the cook top, closest to the knobs. It is not noticeable while looking at it or standing over it, unless you are specifically looking at it. It has chipped from the exact same location on both sides. The next con is that the griddle has not held up and this is over a 2 month period of owning the product. I do cook with it often, however, it has started to stick and even after cleaning with a detergent and sponge, there are darker spots I have been unable to remove. I do believe that this is just a sweet addition to my amazing product, so in my opinion it holds no bearing on whether the product itself works. I deducted 1 star ONLY for the fact that the paint has already peeled. I hope that this does not spread farther over time. Pros: The cook top connects to the SmartThings app. I have a Samsung phone, so I found it in my app store. While I am not able to start my burners with the app (probably a good thing), I am able to see which burners are on and off at any given time. Set up was a breeze. The cook top comes with 5 burners, one being a giant center burner. This burner has been really helpful when I want to heat something up very quickly. The cook top has been very easy to clean, and even with boil overs, I have been able to wipe it clean with a rag and some warm water without issue. Installation seemed quick and easy enough. Although a company set it up for me, however, they took less than 15 minutes to get it done. The flame from the burners along with the blue glow from the burners being used creates this sleek, modern addition to the kitchen and looks really nice. Overall, great product so far, very efficient, & great looking. I feel like I have a million dollar kitchen now!
